| Penstocks or sluice gates are used for the control of water and sewage and penstocks can be made of cast iron, ductile iron, plastic or stainless steel. A penstock is used to control the flow or level of a liquid and consists of a sliding door controlled by a spindle, which when rotated moves the door up or down. Penstocks are normally of robust construction and manufactured to provide high impact resistance. Penstocks can either be wall mounted or
channel mounted and can be motorised penstocks or manually operated penstocks. Metal Penstocks can have seals in Gunmetal or phosphor bronze. Penstocks are normally provided with a flush invert as standard. | | Home
